I have been looking at the next phase of my life for the past few months. When I redesigned my life 7 years ago all I knew I wanted was more joy, love, connection and adventure. I had no idea at the time what that would look like.
I changed my career, traveled, made new friends, tried new things and created a life that I love to wake up in every day. It constantly gets better and better. I could have never imagined then what I have now. My perception was too small.
As I have been going through the process of creating my new venture, it has brought a lot of things up for me. It has allowed me to explore how I want to redesign this life. The big launch of my new venture will be in late August. That will allow me to have more fluidity and room in my life for adventure.
One thing I do is play full out. That means I take chances if I believe in something or myself. This venture was a huge leap of faith. As I began it all of the right pieces to create it began to flow in.
So yesterday I decided to have a full day of pleasure. I set the intentions in the morning that whatever I did would touch my heart, make me feel free and bring me joy.
I started the day with coaching a client and felt so energized after it because she made a lot of break throughs in the session and had a great plan of action to take with her. Then I worked on my project for a few hours.
I cooked up a storm in the kitchen. Cooking is my meditation and puts me in my heart. Plus, my houseguest will benefit from my offerings!
My next stop was to see my teammate who is in charge of my health and pain management for our weekly session. I would love to say I had a relaxing massage but it was not. It was trigger release work with some painful stretches. Sitting at a computer all the hours I do has hurt my body but after a session with my friend, I always feel so much better!
Then I went to meet a friend for a nice chat in the sun. This friend has been one for so long it is like seeing a family member. So we talked about the things I am thinking of doing for this next phase of my life. I want more adventure, travel and a few other things. I left with my friend’s blessings. Having friends, who understand you and back you up no matter what, is priceless!
I popped into the local farmers' market where I sat in the sun and ate the most delicious, ripe peach in while a band played music. It made my insides giggle. Tasting fresh produce and smelling the fresh herbs and flowers occupied my senses for a bit. I came home with kale, peaches and basil.
As I drove home in the late summer sun with my windows down, the wind in my hair and the music on the radio, I realized that how I felt all day was how I want the next phase of my life to feel.
I love having true connection with special people, feeling free, happy, silly and excited about what I get to experience, whether it is a juicy peach, sun on my face or a good conversation. So, once again as it was in the past life redesign, I know the feel and flavor of what I am creating as I am still working on the rest of it.
